Setting up Your Email Account.
"There are several things to consider before setting up your account."
1. Do I need an email account with Waterside Wireless?
If you are a long time user of the internet, you probably already have email accounts with other email providers. You may have a hotmail account (yourname@hotmail.com), or a gmail account (yourname@gmail.com), or even an email account where you work. Do you really want another email account? You don't need one with Waterside Wireless to use our service, we just need an email address that you use, to email you your invoice. If you already have other email accounts that you use, you will still be able to access them while you are hooked to the internet through us.2. If you have an email account with your current Internet Service Provider, and you are cancelling your service with them, that email account will also be cancelled.
If this is the case, and you need to keep that email account, contact them, and they should be able to keep that account active for a small monthly fee.3. If you have no current email account, then we will be pleased to offer you your own Waterside email account. (yourname@watersidewireless.net)
4. What type of software are you going to use to view your email account?
Windows 7 does not come with email software.
The way we view and use our email is constantly changing. A lot of companies are going to a web based software that you log onto through your web browser, (commonly know as webmail) but in the past, you used software programs like Outlook Express that came with your operating system. (Windows 98, & XP) Windows mail came with Windows Vista, but Windows 7....... nothing, zip, zilch.
If your operating system is Windows 7, you will need to download "Windows Live Mail for Windows 7", or if you own Microsoft Office, it has it's own email program, Outlook. Which ever way you choose to get your email, Waterside Wireless offers email addresses for you, so you can have your own identity, if you need it, on the World Wide Web.
